Meridio provides integrated enterprise-wide document and records management solutions. This approach means that one central infrastructure can take responsibility for all information assets over their entire life-cycle.

Record and document metadata is held within Microsoft SQL Server. Record and document content is held on the native storage partitions of the Meridio Content Servers under exclusive control of Meridio.
Benefits of the Meridio Architecture include:
- Scalability - A number of servers can be deployed as required to handle the load of documents and records or user transactions. Meridio has a proven capability to support very large organizations, even spread over a wide geography.
- Distribution - Meridio Federation and Replication allow content and policy to be distributed throughout an organization, no matter how large. Remote Content Server provides rapid access to document and record content irrespective of the bandwidth connecting the user to the Meridio service.
- Resilience - The Meridio server's stateless server architecture and transactional control implicitly provides high resilience. This may be further enhanced by external approaches such as RAID, SAN and MSCS active-passive clustering.
- Standards - Based on Microsoft's .NET architecture, Meridio supports open standards such as XML, HTML and Web Services.
